JEWELRY CARE
14K GOLD PLATED BRASS
MARA SCALISE Gold-Plated Brass is meticulously hand polished to the highest quality. Brass will tarnish naturally depending on people's pH, lotions, perfumes and weather and salt water. To maintain the color and shine of the pieces as you received it, we send, at no cost, a jewelry polishing cloth with all brass pieces. We recommend polishing all gold plated brass pieces twice or three times a week in order for it to stay the same high polish color as you originally received.
Polish your jewelry using the white inner cloth part to gently remove tarnish and dirt from you gold, brass, silver, and platinum pieces. Buff to a higher luster using the outer cloth. This will restore the original brilliance to your pieces!
GOLD
14K Gold pieces are solid yellow, white, or rose gold. These pieces are available to customize in 18K, 22K, and 24K for an additional fee. To care for MARA SCALISE fine jewelry, we recommend cleaning it with mild detergent and warm water. We recommend using a soft brush to not damage the gold. Be sure to rinse with warm water and wipe clean with a soft cloth.
STERLING SILVER
MARA SCALISE silver jewelry can be polished with a polishing cloth to maintain shine of the piece. Avoid water when wearing due to oxidation occurring over time. When not wearing your silver jewelry, store it in the jewelry pouch that we provide.
14K GOLD-FILLED
MARA SCALISE 14K Gold-Filled jewelry is a USA industry standard that legally requires 1/20th, or 5% pure gold by weight. It's a strictly regulated process that involves pressure bonding multiple layers of solid 14K Gold with extreme heat over a core of high quality jeweler's brass resulting in a durable, quality real gold product. To ensure the life of 14K Gold-Filled jewelry, it is recommended to avoid contact with sweat, water, lotion, oils, and perfumes as it will alter the shine of your piece. To clean your 14K Gold-Filled jewelry, use a soft cloth. When not wearing your piece, it is best to store it in the provided pouch.
MARA SCALISE is not responsible for the maintenance of your jewelry.
